MSCI India Index adds four stocks, removes three
Laurus Labs, Lenskart Solutions, Adani Energy Solutions and Groww were added to the MSCI India Index, while Astral, Balkrishna Industries and SBI Cards and Payment Services were removed.

MSCI added four Indian stocks to its India Index and removed three others, with the revised composition taking effect on September 1, 2026. The changes were implemented after the close of trading on August 31, 2026.
The additions were Laurus Labs, Lenskart Solutions, Adani Energy Solutions and Groww. Astral, Balkrishna Industries and SBI Cards and Payment Services were removed from the index.
Following the changes, the number of constituents in the MSCI India Index rose to 166 from 165.
The four additions span pharmaceuticals, eyewear retail, power transmission and digital investing. Lenskart Solutions and Groww entered the MSCI India Index within 10 months of their listings.
The changes formed part of MSCI’s August review, which was announced on August 12, 2026. The revised index composition became effective from September 1.

The index changes apply to the MSCI India Index after the end of trading on August 31. The new composition is effective from September 1, 2026.
