In Gurgaon, authorities planned a large on-ground deployment for 26 January, backed by surveillance drones and multiple checkpoints to monitor entry and exit routes around celebration locations. Police also flagged the possibility of traffic diversions near event venues to keep movement smooth during the day.
In Panchkula, officials described a multi-layered security arrangement at the main parade venue, supported by specialised teams and increased patrolling. Police said checks were being intensified at high-footfall areas such as markets, bus stands and railway stations, along with verification drives at hotels and inns.
